happy birthday mum

Happy Birthday mummy! :)

Ah I've been looking forward to this day for awhile. Mum's out of the country alot and she's never here for her birthday, so when she is, we try to make it extra special for her. I bought her tickets to Richard Clayderman playing at Burswood next week, and that should be cool coz she likes Clayderman. I framed up a blown up picture of us all to put above the fireplace. She was stoked! :) Yay, I love giving presents.

And finally, the much anticipated visit to Limoncello Cafe. When I went for the first time in February, I was impressed with their service and their food. Tonight was no exception. The service was just amazing. Food wise it wasn't as good as last time, but overall it was great.

I wanted my mum to try their seafood platter, so I ordered one. Not as impressive as last time value wise, which disappointed me abit, but oh well. It was still nice.

After we had our food and dessert, the owner of the restaurant gave my mum a little surprise. All the staff came around and sang Happy Birthday to my mum, and it was great! Everyone in the restaurant joined in too.

They even brought over a little treat for us all. Free Baci chocolates and a funny face drawn on the plate with chocolate sauce. It was so funny.

And then we adjourned home for the yummy Appletiser cake from Cakes Delight.

Happy birthday mummy. Hope you liked all your presents and dinner tonight, and hopefully the concert next week! I love you!

xxx,
Baby :)

girlfriends..

Ever since my buddy Alicia went back to Singapore, I haven't been on a decent shopping spree with a friend. It's always been mad rushes at lunch time with Julia, or lonely shopping by myself, and frankly I miss it! Alicia, COME BACK!

Anyway, lucky for me I still have some cool girlfriends around, some of whom I wish I could spend more time with, like feifei! We met up after work today for an eating and shopping extravaganza. We went for an early dinner at Edo Shiki, a new restaurant that opened up at Forrest Chase, with a double conveyor belt system (like sushi bars), serving sushi on the cold belt, and dimsum on the hot belt.

Brilliant idea isn't it? It's a novelty thing I guess, interesting concept. There was something there that I really liked:

It is a slightly modified version of "Ma Lai Gou", which is a steamed sponge cake sorta thing. Oh so nice.

We both spent too much money, but it was a great night out and I really enjoyed myself. We gotta do this more often feifei :P
Yay for friends!

pretty dress

I've been searching high and low for a dress for my sister's wedding in January. Going to the city during lunch breaks and checking out the shops after work. One needs more hours in a day for shopping, seriously.

Anyhoo, I found one today!! It's pink (because it has to be, unfortunately), but it looks like this (except plain)!

If only it looked this good on me. But oh well, we aren't all models!
I'm happy with it, so that's all that matters really. I hope my sister likes it too!
