J'aime le français

I went for my first french class today. It was cool. There were 13 of us, mostly female, but from every walk of life. There were accountants, florists, engineers, journalists, personal assistants, shop managers...some were young, some a little older, but it was really fun. We learnt everyday phrases, learnt how to introduce ourselves in french, and all sorts of weird and quirky things. This course will go for 10 weeks, and I can't wait for next Wednesday!

I shall embrace the French language, the French culture, but escargots might take a little getting used to.

Bonne nuit! :)

you're so brave

I gotta admit, urges to blog are getting fewer and further between. Tonight though, I have so many things on my mind.

I wonder...if I ever had to do something to that magnitude, I could bring myself to do it, knowing I would hurt a lot of people I care about. Being labelled a certain way must suck, and I do admire his courage, although some things might take some time to settle down in people's minds. Sometimes I wish society could be a little more open-minded about a few things, although these things have always been touchy issues.

Honestly, I never suspected it. NEVER. But like they say, never judge a book by its cover, and I guess this proves it. I do see him slightly differently now, in a semi-sympathetic, semi-envious way. I don't think I could do it. How do you go about it? Do you just blurt it out hoping people would accept it? What happens if they don't? Where do you even start? When do you do it, how do you do it? I can't even begin to fathom.

I think you were very brave doing what you did.
Be strong.
